Sarita Playfair

Sarita Playfair is a 14-year-old singer from Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Music has been in her blood from a very young age. Her journey began, singing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme tune song in her living room but quickly developed a love for Latin American/Mexican music as it is part of her nationality Mexican/English.

Fearless in front of an audience, her first ever performance was at her nursery where she sang a Disney song from snow white called ‘I’m wishing’. She loved hearing the reaction of the audience & so her passion grew.

Her mum was very supportive of this dream so searched for every opportunity to help her gain experience.

She auditioned for many musicals such as Joseph, Matilda, Dorothy, Annie and The Addams Family (from the age of 6) & many other competitions including The Voice Kids at just 11 years old.

Sarita started getting more serious about her dream and began training with Julie Miles from Vocal Ovation. This has been the catalyst in Sarita’s believe in herself & also her motivation to audition for many more national singing competitions. In last 2 years she has been crowned winner of many of those competitions.

Her Biggest achievement in her life so far was being a part of the CBBC singing competition, Got What It takes? & made it all the way to the semi-finals!

She is now discovering more about the kind of singer she wants to be & is working on her artistry. Despite her powerhouse vocals, currently she relates more to indie music and R&B & is inspired by the likes of, Billie Eilish, Conan Gray, Tyler the Creator, Daniel Caesar, Arctic Monkeys, Harry Styles but never overlooks her Latin roots.

She’s fired up to continue on this path to becoming an artist who is unique and different. She is 100% committed to become the best she can be, as a credible singer songwriter  and is aiming to the top!
