Julie has a solid reputation for getting results. She’s worked with successful contestants on a vast range of top TV talent shows, including The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent, The Voice, The Voice Kids, and Got What It Takes.
Julie also appeared as one of the 100 in Saturday night BBC One primetime TV show, All Together Now, as well as Little Mix’s BBC talent programme, The Search in which she worked alongside television producers as both a talent scout and vocal coach. Julie works closely across all of the main TV competitions, regularly being approached by their producers to host showcases for her talented list of students and music industry hopefuls.
Successful students include Courtney Hadwin, who received the ‘golden buzzer’ from judge Howie Mandel on America’s Got Talent in 2018. As the first UK singer to receive the accolade, her distinct performance gained hundreds of millions of views online. Courtney continues to work with Julie while she puts the finishing touches to her hotly anticipated debut album which is signed to Simon Cowell on the Syco and Arista labels.
Other Cowell protégé’s coming from Julie’s stable include Molly Scott, who appeared on the X Factor in 2018 and reached the live shows. Likewise for student Sam Lavery who journeyed through the same stages in 2016. Similar TV success came the way of Ty Lewis who appeared on the 2020 series of The Voice. Ty is continuing to train with Julie and hone his live talent with intimate gigs across the UK.
Julie is UK Mentor for international teaching organisation, Modern Vocal Training, hosting masterclasses for up-and-coming students from across the globe. Her passion and commitment to being qualified does not go unnoticed and is shown in the achievements of each of her students.
Julie has also become the go-to judge for many national singing competitions including Open Mic UK and Teen Star UK. A stickler for sound vocal technique, she also has a keen eye for recognising talent and is geared towards working with singers to help them reach their highest potential and achieve all the key aspects that will help them develop into successful artists.
