I first walked into Julies studio at the age of 13. I had just been Fagin in my school production of ‘Oliver’ and discovered I really enjoyed performing in front of an audience. I knew I could improve my voice a lot if I could find a good teacher. Fortunately, I found Julie.
Fast forward five years I have achieved things I would never have imagined possible. In 2018 I was an age group winner in Unstoppable Uk, which gave me the chance to perform to thousands at Newcastle Utilita Arena. I have supported some amazing talent at venues and festivals around the region, including Mainstage O2 Academy, Think Tank, Newcastle Cathedral and Newcastle University.
None of my achievements would have been possible without Julie’s encouragement, her unfaltering belief in me and the vocal skills she has equipped me with over these years. My vocal range has increased so much I can now choose songs I never thought were possible.
I always feel like I have achieved a lot in Julie’s lessons but we have a lot of fun along the way. The studio is well equipped, really cool and the perfect environment to perform in.
