“After I had my first vocal lesson with Julie, as we were leaving my Mum said “what’s the matter, you look odd”. I said “OMG my voice! I have never ever felt so good and something just happened in there to my vocals!”

For others reading this that get vocal lessons or are thinking about them my first experience of Julie needs to be heard.

I had been having vocal lessons since I was 6, at stage school in East Kilbride as part of a class which was where they discovered I could sing – I absolutely loved it. I then moved onto a voice coach in Glasgow where I remained for 3 years until me & my family moved down to Durham. On moving down South I felt very lucky that Julie had space to take me on.

After I had my first vocal lesson with Julie, as we were leaving my Mum said “what’s the matter, you look odd”. I said “OMG My Voice! I have never ever felt so good and something just happened in there to my vocals”.

Since that day I have gone from strength to strength. I find some exercises a challenge, but Julie takes time to explain so I understand the technique involved. Julie is always so welcoming, there’s such a good vibe and never a dull moment!

I can honestly say my voice has progressed and changed for the better every year. I know I still have so much more to learn but thank you for getting me to this level!
